What the plugin looks like
What it does
Hair rock drums for big choruses. A punchy kick, a bright, cracking snare and roomy toms, with a separate real room-mic layer underneath. Pick the snare you want from the variant menu: Classic Room, Crack, Big Gate, Raw, or Room Cymbals for longer crash tails. Then turn HAIRSPRAY. It adds a gated room blast, sparkle on top and more snare crack. The gate comes from the real room mics plus an envelope, not a canned reverb. Load it, pick a snare, play. Glam, arena rock, sleaze. Spandex optional.
Features
- HAIRSPRAY knob: gated room blast, sparkle and snare crack.
- 5 kit variants: Classic Room (default), Crack, Big Gate, Raw, Room Cymbals.
- 5 presets (Default, Raw / dry, Tight, Roomy, Big and loud) and a Tune knob (±3 semitones on kick/snare/toms).
- Optional mixer: Kick, Snare, Toms, Cymbals, Room, Master. MIDI map menu for common drum-map quirks.
- VST3 + standalone for Windows. Groove player for your own MIDI files. Credits inside the plugin.
A version of Sunset Riot is one of the 4 kits inside the free practice plugin, Backing Track Plus.
